Pricing and Products

All prices are subject to the addition of VAT. McKinleys reserve the right to alter prices without prior notification.

McKinleys may at times supply products with variations from the detail published due to circumstances beyond McKinleys control. Any photos, diagrams, information or specification should therefore be used as a guide only.

McKinleys policy is one of continuous improvement and McKinleys reserve the right to alter specifications, discontinue or substitute products without prior notification.

All goods are sold subject to availability.

It is the responsibility of the customer to determine the suitability of any product offered by McKinleys for the intended purpose as McKinleys have no control over conditions of use or application. It is therefore always recommended that products are tested by the customer prior to use. No salesperson, agent or other representative of the company is authorised to give any guarantee or recommendation contrary to the foregoing. McKinleys shall not be held liable for any damages or consequential loss resulting from the use of any product offered. Therefore all risks, damages or liability in connection with the use of products offered rests with the customer.


The signature of any employee or agent of the customer shall be proof of receipt of goods.

The customer shall be liable for any additional carriage, storage, charges, losses or damages arising should the customer refuse to take delivery of the goods ordered.

McKinleys shall not be held liable for any consequential loss or damage of any kind, however caused.

In the event of any claim by the customer that goods are in some way defective, a written report of the said claim shall be submitted within seven days. Any claim agreed will be limited to the replacement of the goods or their value in money at the option of McKinleys.

The risk of damage to or loss of the goods shall pass to the customer at the time of delivery.

Retention of Title

Notwithstanding delivery and the passing of risk, property in and title to the goods, including full legal and beneficial ownership, shall remain with McKinleys until payment of the full price of all goods and services supplied by McKinleys to the customer under any contract whatsoever has been received in cash or cleared funds.

Until such time as the property in the goods passes to the customer, the customer shall mark the goods as McKinleys’ property and store them separately from goods belonging to third parties.

McKinleys retain the right, until such time as the property in the goods passes to the customer, to require the customer to deliver up the goods to McKinleys and if the customer fails to do so, to enter the premises of the customer to repossess the goods.

Returned Goods

Return of goods is strictly subject to the agreement of McKinleys and will incur a 15% handling charge. Only resaleable goods, i.e. in good condition and in whole pack quantities in the original packaging, may be returned, and the cost of returning goods shall be borne by the customer. No goods shall be returned unless accompanied by a Returns Note with a unique return number.

Bespoke Items

Bespoke or special items which are manufactured to order shall be subject to a manufacturing tolerance of +/- 10%. Thus any overs are chargeable to the customer up to 10%. Bespoke or special non-stock products are non-returnable. If an order for a bespoke or special non-stock product is subsequently cancelled, any costs incurred in the manufacture or freight of the item shall be borne by the customer.

Payment Terms

Payment must be made with order, except when credit facilitie

McKinleys reserve the right to charge interest on overdue accounts in accordance with Government legislation and to withdraw credit facilities at any time without prior notification should they be abused.

Notwithstanding any credit terms granted, any items of machinery shall be paid for in full on completion of installation and training.

Notwithstanding the status of the purchasing firm the principals thereof at the time of the transaction shall personally guarantee to pay in full any trading debts of that firm owing to McKinleys.


All transactions between McKinleys and the customer are governed by the foregoing terms and conditions which supersede any which the customer may seek to impose.

Any disputes arising under these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by English law and settled by jurisdiction of the English Courts.


Nothing from McKinleys publications or website may be reproduced or transmitted by any means whatever without the prior written consent of McKinleys.
